A Picture Says A Thousand Words...

A girl in our college ministry is a very gifted photographer and she took several snapshots of our family. These are a few of our favorites!

Back at it...

This was my first week back at school. I am exhausted. I enjoyed my 2 week break a little too much. Late nights and late mornings made 5:30am on Monday quite awful! But needless to say...I made it! I am glad to be back into the routine. I am not as homesick and I just do better with a routine.
My mom and step dad are coming to visit at the first of Feb. We are so excited to show them around town and to take them to San Francisco (a city which I have decided is one of my favorites)!!!
My "resolutions" that I talked about in my last post are coming along quite nicely. I am loving my new work out schedule and one of the teachers that I teach with has been joining me. It is great to have a work out partner! I also started reading "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan (Richard's first book choice for me). I have only just started it....so in my next blog I will post my thoughts!
I am continuing to learn new things everyday....good and bad. God is opening my eyes to so much and growing me in ways I never thought possible. I hope to one day be able to share more about this...but for now I will BE STILL and KNOW that HE IS GOD! I rest in that promise everyday! Although I don't always know what the future holds, God does and for that I am thankful!

Until next time..

Ringing in the New Year!

Wow...I cannot believe that it is 2010. Where did 2009 go? So many changes in our life over the past year and I know that this year is going to bring even more.

As I think about the New Year I think about resolutions....each year I sit down and make a list of things I want to do....or should do and typically I accomplish one...maybe two if it is a good year. Unfortunately this year is no different. But as I sit here prepared to make my list I am going at it with a different attitude. I am making a list of things I know I CAN and WILL accomplish!!

So here goes....

1. Adopt a little girl from THOGL
2. Train and complete the Camp Pendleton 10K mud run (I already registered...June 6)
3. Engross myself in God's word....read 6 books that my hubby has recommended I read
4. Stay consist with this blog
5. Finish Kyler's scrap book (I know that sounds ridiculous but I am not a good at it and have been working on it for almost 3 years)

So there is my list.
We will see how it goes....and I will keep you updated on the progress of each item!
